How to configure performance options in XP

Step 1

To configure performance option in Windows XP, go to My Computer and then right click on it. Then select Advanced tab.

Step 2

Click Settings and then another window will appear as shown below

Here, user can tweak visual effects and other Advance option that best suit your system performances.

In the advance tab, Processor scheduling for Windows Professional is set to Programs by default. Background services is more suitable for server configuration.

Memory configured as System cache suit server while program mode is more suitable for workstation.
