How to change the name of your computer

Step 1

To change the name of your computer, go to My Computer and then right click on it. When a popup menu appear, choose Properties as illustrated in the diagram below.

Step 2

Another window will appear as shown below :

Step 3

Click on Change to change the name of your computer.

Step 4

This is where you can change your computer name to another name. Set the workgroup to your workgroup.

Step 5

Click Ok when done.

Step 6

Click Ok to restart your computer.
